dc.description.abstract Software-Defined Networks (SDN) shall change telecommunication networks and its industry, with impact throughout its entire chain. For developing countries, such as Brazil, SDN offers unprecedented opportunities to influence the evolution of the Internet and to create a local networking software industry that is globally competitive. This presentation will address the opportunities SDN offers, its challenges and what CPqD has done to promote SDN in Brazil and worldwide.
